Thank God for the video feature on cell phones! Looks like another bad cop is facing the heat for his wrongful actions during an arrest. Recently, the NYPD suspended Officer Joel Edouard after arresting a man and then stomping on his head as he lay on the ground. This incident occurred in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn after police allegedly witnessed 32 year old Jahmiel Cuffee rolling a marijuana joint. In the footage both officers are seen putting Cuffee under arrest and at one point Edouard even pulls out his gun, as he and his partner lay over the man. After back up arrives and the 32 year old lays on his stomach, Edouard is seen stomping on Cuffee’s head. The issue with the NYPD is not a racial issue, as officer suspended of misbehavior is a minority, but instead one of injustice! NYPD’s motto is: “Courtesy, Professionalism, and Respect”. Do you think officers uphold it? SMFH! To check out the footage, click below.
