The Darkest Before Dawn rapper from Norfolk, VA hones in on his core fanbase, the moment he began to write raps, the rise and demise of The Clispe-thanks to his brother Gene Thornton-and the relationship he and his brother shares. “I use to be so upset, man. I use to think that me and my brother could do whatever we wanted to the rap game,” King Push recalls of the time his brother decided that rapping was not the road he wanted to follow. “I realized we just weren’t in the same place anymore. He had a family, he had other things going … he had to answer for.
