Following the taping of her appearance on Late Night With Seth Myers yesterday, Kim Kardashian stepped out with beau Kanye West and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour to celebrate the couple’s new (and controversial) cover. As usual, Kim turned heads as she rocked a sheer lace dress, which she later covered with a leather jacket as the trio headed to dine at Waverly Inn. So, what was the notorious Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, thinking by FINALLY putting Kim Kardashian, along-side fiance Kanye West, on the cover? She responded in a characteristically icy Editor’s Letter, insisting it was she — and not a pushy West – who made the final decision.

Kim Kardashian has made no secret of her desire for the cover of Vogue over the years, while Vogue HBIC Anna Wintour has simultaneously made no secret of her disdain for the reality star. Kim’s relationship with Kanye West has helped to warm Anna up slightly, as Anna is quite close with Yeezy, but that still didn’t stop Vogue staffers from infamously cropping Kim out of their photo gallery of the Met Gala last year. Kanye is unrelenting in his efforts to land his soon-to-be wife that coveted cover, but he hasn’t cracked Anna just yet. This past week, Kim’s younger sister Kendall Jenner flew across the pond for London Fashion Week, and while attending the Topshop Unique show, she sat front row with none other than Anna! This had to burn Kim, as I’m sure she would love to be able to schmooze the way Kendall likely was. Who knows, though…maybe Kendall could help to put in a good word!
