In the wake of the death of Shain Gandee, MTV announced that they would be giving the show the axe. Now a producer for the show said that although “Buckwild” is cancelled, the network is bring similar style shows to two other states that aren’t near West Virgina. “Buckwild” was the third highest rating show on the network and Gandee soon became a fan favorite. A 7.5. magnitude quake in Alaska caused a small tsunami. The quake hit 60 miles west of Craig, Alaska and jolts were felt in Canada as well. A small change in sea level occurred in minutes following the tsunami that hit coastal areas from Cape Fairweather, Alaska, to the tip of Vancouver Island, Canada according to FOXNews. Julie A.
A 7.7 magnitude earthquake off the coast of western Canada has created the first Tsunami wave this morning in Hawaii. The wave was over 5 feet tall and lasted about 45 minutes but has not done any damage. Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie said that the Tsunami warning last night forced people to evacuate and now the warning has dropped down to a watch. The first Tsunami waves are always the smallest so Hawaii is not in the clear yet and it could be another seven hours before another wave hits. Hurricane-like winds hit Anchorage, Alaska Wednesday leaving the city and surrounding area with many toppled trees, and thousands without power. Winds of this nature is uncommon during this time of year. While some winds around Anchorage recorded hurricane winds, lower elevations recorded winds from 40 to 60 mph. Click below to read more.
