Al Sharpton spoke on the Donald Sterling situation and related it to the current scandal hitting UNC. UNC is accused of creating fake classes (including Afro American studies) and giving athletes A’s. According to Sharpton young black men are seen as “money makers” and just pawns to win titles and no one cared if they learned or not. Sharpton says situations like Donald Sterling started from a college level.

While many people are supportive of civil right’s activist Al Sharpton’s acts to help the black community, many see him as an opportunist who jumps on every major injustice to get his face out there. Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas is part of the latter. Following the deaths of Mike Brown and Eric Garner at the hands of the police, Arenas called out Sharpton calling him a “coon” and “thot”. When asked about the comments Sharpton wasn’t familiar with who Arenas was and said using those terms says more about Arenas than himself. Well Arenas took to his Instagram account again to address what his real issue with Sharpton is.
