NBA: Rajon Rondo Sets Target Date For Season Debut

Help is finally on the way for the Celtics. Today, all-star guard Rajon Rondo set a date for his return from his ACL injury. January 17th against the Lakers is when he hopes to finally step on the court. The Celtics could sure use the help, especially in a weak eastern conference to make a strong playoff run. He feels confident about his knee, but is more worried about his conditioning. The Celtics I am sure are hoping he can return soon so they can evaluate him prior to the trading deadline to see if any moves involving him are worth it.

NFL: Report, Eagles Jeremy Maclin Out For Season

Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin appears to have suffered a torn ACL in his right knee at practice earlier today. If in fact it is his ACL, that would mean he is done for this season. That would hurt the Eagles offense as he and DeSean Jackson make up a good young duo at that position. Maclin has missed plenty of time before, and has missed at least one game in each of his four seasons. Last year he had almost 1,000 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns. He was expected to play a major role in new coach Chip Kelly’s offense this season. With a stable quarterback situation he has the potential to be a pro bowl type of player. If his ACL is in fact torn, we wish him a speedy recovery.
