The search engine/e-mail providers, beginning May 3rd in NY and ending July 14th in London will have their first music tour and listen who the headliners are: Jigga man & Kendrick Lamar. They pulled out all of the stops for this one. The tour will include other artists such as J. Cole, Frank Ocean, and Justin Timberlake, just to get your feet wet. After being online for 7 years, blogTV will be merging with the live streaming company, YouNow! As part of its partnership, blogTV will redirect to YouNow and will operate under the YouNow brand. In an email sent to subscribers, Oren Levy, CEO of BlogTV wrote, “We know that change can be difficult, but we are excited to partner with YouNow who are able to provide the resources necessary to move forward. As we worked with YouNow to facilitate this merger, we discovered a great company, with a staff dedicated to making your live streaming experience the best it can be.” Users will be able to migrate their account to YouNow and enjoy special benefits and new features. BlogTV users have until March 27t to transfer over their account to YouNow.
Facebook Is Trying To Be Like What Social Site?
Facebook is working on using the hashtag, one of Twitter’s most iconic markers, into its service by using the symbol as a way to group conversations, said sources. It is unclear how far along Facebook’s work on the hashtag is and the feature isn’t likely to be introduced right away. Facebook is testing to see if allowing users to click on hashtags to pull up posts about similar topics so it can quickly index conversations around trending topics and build those conversations up. Instagram, which Facebook acquired last year, already allows users to use hashtags to go through photos.
