Coney Island Woman Murdered Motive Unknown
A 65-year-old Coney Island woman was murdered today at about 11:50AM after a gunman filled her upper body with 3 bullets. The police & paramedics found the woman dying beneath a tree, near a park at West 2nd St. & Sea Breeze Ave. She was rushed to Coney Island Hospital where she died. Her name has not been released. The gunman fled on a mountain bike & his motive in unknown although investigators do believe the woman knew her assailant. Amanda Mullen

Connecticut Women Plead Guilty To Giving Her Children Beer & Cocaine
A 29 year-old Connecticut mom, Juliette Dunn & her 33 year-old friend, Lisa Jefferson were arrested in July after the pair gave Dunn’s children beer on a playground. Today the Connecticut mom pled guilty to giving her 4 year-old son a 40-ounce Steel Reserve to drink & cocaine to her 10-month-old daughter. She is now looking at up to 2 years behind bars. Police Shoot Masked Man Who Tried To Rob A Staten Island Diner
Around 3AM this morning, Michael Grimes a 41 year-old man wearing a mask attempted to rob The Golden Dove Diner on Richmond Avenue in Staten Island. Grimes pointed a .38 caliber semi-automatic handgun at the cashier & announced that it was a robbery. Little did he know, two plainclothes officers from the 122nd precinct were inside the diner enjoying a meal break.
