Serena Williams defeated sister Venus in the final of the Australian Open this morning, to give her the record of 23 Grand Slam singles wins. As you might expect, it was an emotional night for Serena, who has been going this since going back to the mid 90’s. She defeated Venus in straight sets, so there wasn’t much drama to the match itself, other than just waiting for the moment for it to be official and for Serena to have the record. She is by far the GOAT when it comes to tennis but another GOAT took notice of her accomplishments and surprised her with a gift after the match.

Upon winning the match and the doing an interview with ESPN, Serena was surprised on air by the gift from none other than Michael Jordan.
The kicks look dope and the Serena collection from Jordan is actually already available as of this morning at the Nike Soho store and is expected to be available nationwide very soon.
Congrats to the GOAT Serena. I don’t think people truly understand just how hard it is to accomplish what she did last night and she must go down as one of the greatest athletes in the history of the world, not just a female athlete.
