Earlier this week, we reported that Prince’s estate denied Jay Z’s $40 million bid for rights to his unreleased music, and now they’re rubbing salt in the wound. The late singer’s label, NPG Records, has just filed a lawsuit against Roc Nation for “overstepping” an agreement.

Prior to his passing, Prince had signed a deal with Roc Nation/TIDAL to stream his final album, Hit N Run: Phase 1. However, months later on what would have been his 58th birthday, TIDAL also began streaming most of Prince’s catalog, which NPG says was NOT authorized at all. They are now suing for copyright infringement, and also to block any continued streaming of his music.

A specific dollar amount was not specified, but the infringements go on in a list that is over 3 full pages, so it’s likely to be pretty up there.
