Welp! Billy Bush has now been fired from the ‘Today’ show. We recently learned that Bush was previously suspended indefinitely from the show after the audio came out of him and Donald Trump speaking pretty harshly about women. The audio included Trump’s famous “grab them by the p*ssy” line.
NBC made a statement confirming Bush’s departure saying,
“Billy Bush will be leaving the Today show’s 9 a.m. hour, effective today. While he was a new member of the Today team, he was a valued colleague and longtime member of the broader NBC family. We wish him success as he goes forward.”
Bush also released a statement saying,
“I am deeply grateful for the conversations I’ve had with my daughters, and for all of the support from family, friends and colleagues. I look forward to what lies ahead.”
Today boss Noah Oppenheim says the language Bush used is ‘inexcusable.’ Sources told TMZ that they had no prior behavior issues with Bush. Kind of sad that this costed him his job but hey.
