Gucci Mane talks life after jail, new album, and collabs w/ Funk Flex #WeGotaStoryToTell001. Gucci sat down with Flex for the first time since he was released from prison. He spoke about his weight loss and diet, running stairs and “eatin’ like the mafia” while he was still locked up. Gucci also said he learned a lesson about the mistakes hes made and became more aware about his vices with drugs.
Also briefly mentioned was Gucci’s current relationship with artists like Waka Flocka and Nicki Minaj, and some of the artists that hes signed. He kept up with his girl and his team through email and read about some artists in magazines. Purposely allowed himself to separate from the outside world so he could focus his energy on getting out of the situation he was in. A maximum security prison can be dangerous, but Gucci also said it was a humbling experience. Not only for the change in lifestyle but also as a wake up call. He says he was spiraling out of control and was likely to end up dead if he didn’t change. He felt he didn’t do anything that should have landed him in a maximum security prison but said he had to see it. Gucci plans to continue to stay drug and alcohol free because he associates those vices with jail and wants to stay out.
Gucci even spoke about the fact that people thought he was a clone when he got out. He said it made him laugh that people thought he looked that different, but eventually motivated him even more to keep working out. Keep a look out for his new album, Everybody Looking and also the book, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane which he wrote while he was locked up.
