Chris Darden took a lot of heat for the fact O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. It was his idea to have Simpson try on those black gloves in the courtroom and we all know how that played out. “If the gloves don’t fit, you must acquit”, were the famous words spoken by Johnny Cochran during his final statements and it left an impact on the jury. Fast forward to now and Darden was on “The View” yesterday, where he revealed he believes Simpson confessed not once, not twice, but a “million” times, with a couple of those alleged confessions happening during the trial.

Darden said. “I think he confessed it during the trial, and I think he confessed it in the L.A. County Jail, but we weren’t allowed access to the conversation or the content of the confession.”
He goes on to say he believes he has confessed a “million” times over the years since, which could just be him rambling about it but those alleged confessions from the time of the trial are intriguing. How did he know Simpson spoke about it in the jail?
The timing is interesting as well because Simpson’s former friend and LAPD officer, Ron Shipp, who was all over ESPN’s 30 for 30 “O.J. Made In America” expects that Simpson will confess next year if he is released from prison in Nevada.
This case captured the attention of the nation 22 years ago and it still is having a profound impact. The only time I could see O.J. coming clean about it is in his final hours on this earth but even then his pride and ego will likely not allow him to do so.
