What is going on with all of this violence? A former contestant from the Mexican version of The Voice was shot yesterday. To make matters worse he was celebrating his 45th Birthday.

On his 45th birthday, Alejandro “Jano” Fuentes was shot in the head in Chicago on Thursday. Fuentes was a contestant on the 2011 season of La Voz. A man stepped to Fuentes’ car with a gun and requested him to get out. When Fuentes resisted, the man shot him in the head. He was on his way out of his birthday celebration at Tras Bambalino, a studio where he teaches vocals. Fuentes moved to Chicago to pursue his career in the entertainment industry. It’s believed that the attack was targeted. He’s currently in critical condition. A friend of his started a GoFundMe page to raise funds for his family.
