KFC has been around for as long as we can remember and has been a prominent chicken spot for just as long. The last thing you would think of is them being sued for stealing anything, but that seems to be the case.
According to legal documents, a food spot that sells primarily Mexican food is suing KFC for stealing their slogan. The Taqueria El Amigo restaurant claims that KFC stole their slogan “Para Chuparse Los Dedos,” which they trademarked back in 2014. Translated it is “To Lick Your Fingers”.
The Taco place said KFC had no business using that slogan because it had requested for it to be trademarked but it was denied, so they went and used it anyway. They have since released a commercial discrediting KFC. I don’t think it is the smartest idea taking a shot at the big dogs like that but hey, they got pride.
