Two FBI agents were injured after being shot while serving a warrant. The suspected shooter was found later in his home. The wounds are not life threatening. The agents were serving a arrest warrant in Park Forest, Ill. This is a small little village near downtown Chicago.
FBI spokesman Garrett Croon says there is currently no additional information available about what prompted the arrest warrant. The man found dead was not immediately identified. The school systems advised all students to stay home because the conditions were unsafe. The schools send out a message to all parents saying,
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have presented to parents, however the students safety is our first concern,”
This is the second time a agent was shot and injured this month in Illinois. The first incident, a officer was shot while doing a traffic stop. The driver then fled the scene.
