Charts don’t lie. Drake breaks another record with Views, this time beating out any album’s first week streaming numbers with his slower second week and climbing third week.

In its first week, Views was streamed 245 million times, beating the previous record of 115.2 million streams set by Beyonce’s Lemonade for the week ending April 28. Views than experienced a 70 percent drop in sales and streams the next week (probably due to the fact it was no longer an Apple exclusive and fans didn’t know it), but its second-week streams still moved up to 141 million, overthrowing the first-week numbers of Beyonce.
After two weeks, Views was made available on streaming platforms outside of Apple Music, despite it’s slower second week, it’s spiked in streams for its third week, billing another 186 million. This gives Views the title of attaining more streams than any other album in history in each of its three weeks of release. Drake’s second week and third week, standing individually, beat out any other artist’s first week album streams, in history.
