Steven Avery’s lawyer, Kathleen Zellner is determined to prove that her client is innocent. She believes that he was framed. Zellner is now saying that there has been new suspects identified in the Steven Avery Case. Just a refresher, Avery is currently doing time for the murder of Teresa Halbach.
Zellner says,
“We have to have new evidence that could not have been obtained before that would result in no juror believing that Steven Avery committed the crime.”
With new technology, Zellner believes that she can make this happen. She goes on to say there are a few new suspects in the case.
“We have a couple. I’d say there’s one, leading the pack by a lot. But I don’t want to scare him off, I don’t want him to run.”
Zellner says watching the show “Making A Murderer,” inspired her to take on the case.
“When I watched the Avery case, I felt that the attitude toward him by the prosecutors and the state was that he was disposable. It was almost like a class thing.”
