15-year old, Davonte Washington was shot and killed while at a Metro Station in Washington D.C. The shooting took place Saturday afternoon.
The teen was standing at the station with his mother and sisters when he was approached by a unidentified stranger. Surveillance footage shows that the two started arguing which is when the stranger pulled out a gun and shot Washington in broad daylight. Washington was rushed to the hospital immediately where he died. Metropolitan Police Department District Commander David Taylor looked at the incident and said “It’s not believed to be random, that’s for sure.”
The family of Washington believes that this was a random dispute. They say that there is no way their loved one would have access to a gunman. There has been no arrest made. Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward to anyone who has information.
