As of today, ABC now has a new chief. Her name is Channing Dungey. Dungey is the first African-American to run a broadcast network! She is also the first woman to do so. Dungey was ABC’s executive VP of drama. She has been with the company for a decade and now, she has worked her way to the top. This is awesome news!
Ben Sherwood, is the co-chairman of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney/ABC Television Group. Channing Dungey will now report to him. Sherwood said,
“Channing is a gifted leader and a proven magnet for top creative talent, with an impressive record of developing compelling, breakthrough programming that resonates with viewers.”
