The Chicago Bulls were dealt another blow as their “new star” player Jimmy Butler will be out three to four weeks with a strained left knee.
As a result of this injury, Butler will not play in the NBA All-Star Game this Sunday in Toronto. Butler was selected as a reserve to the East squad by the Eastern Conference head coaches. He originally suffered the injury in the second quarter of Friday night’s game at Denver.
According to several reports, Butler’s teammate Pau Gasol will replace him in the All-Star game.
Gasol is currently averaging 17 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.
