Sibling rivalry or just another “Eli face”?
With 3:08 left in Super Bowl, C.J. Anderson scored a rushing touchdown for the Denver Broncos pretty much solidifying a win for them. Everyone began to cheer and CBS cut to the suite containing Peyton Manning’s family. Everyone was celebrating except for Peyton’s famous brother and fellow quarterback, Eli Manning.
Eli’s worried-looking face sparked tons of tweets, most speculating that he was sad he would no longer have bragging rights over his older brother. With the Super Bowl 50 win, Peyton and Eli now both have two championship rings each.
While that’s the funny answer, Eli is actually very supportive of his brother. He was either worried because the TD was under review and/or because there was a lot of time left; as a professional QB, he knows what’s possible. OR it could’ve just been another famous “Eli face”.
“We don’t do that, that’s not what we do. Maybe you guys, your brothers do that, that’s not what we do,” Peyton said via CBS Sports. “I just had a chance to see Eli and it’s great being with him and having a moment with him in the locker room. I remember being in the locker room with him on his first Super Bowl and those are special, special memories.”
