The 2016 NBA All-Star starters were announced tonight and as usual there were a couple snubs. One of the most notable was Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors. Not only did Green not make it, Zaza Pachulia received more votes than he did.
Zaza Pachulia is putting in work this season for the Dallas Mavericks and is averaging 10.5 points and 10.8 rebounds. And although he’s playing quite well, it was shocking to see that he received more votes than Draymond Green and was only 14,227 votes away from knocking out Kawhi Leonard for a starting spot on the Western Conference roster.
While Stephen Curry is no doubt the star of the Warriors, Green has been considered by many as the heart of the team and has been playing quite well this season averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds.
Many people thought this was the year he would appear in his first All-Star game as a starter but I guess the fans aren’t that fond of him.
