This just goes to show that racism is alive and kickin’…smh!

Popular weather man Al Roker and his son were denied a ride from a taxi driver in NYC due to racial reasons. The same driver ended up picking up a white man only a block away, causing a huge issue for obvious reasons.

Roker had wrote on his Twitter page after the incident occurred detailing his troubling experience:

Filed a complaint today after getting passed up again by a NYC Yellow cab. Cabbie picked up a white guy a block away. Wonder why Uber wins?

The Taxi and Limousine Commission issued a statement saying that driver Mahabur Rahman made his plea last month and ended up getting fined $500 for his wrongful actions.
