Tuesday (January 5th), during an episode of The View, comedian and co-host, Whoopi Goldberg made a radical statement regarding her nationality. The ladies were having a discussion about discussing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and what their reactions would be if he did indeed win the presidency. After co-host Joy Behar joked that she would flee the country, Goldberg took a leaf out of Raven Symone’s book and made the statement she is not African American but only American.
She said in response to Behar, “You know what uh uh! This is my country. My mother, my grandmother, my great grand folks, we busted ass to be here,” she continued, “I’m sorry. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American, I’m not a chick American. I’m an American!”
