The Game released the first disc of his new album The Documentary 2 this week, and it has had positive reviews from critics. In a recent interview with DJ Skee, he revealed that he recorded 600-700 songs on this album. Hit the jump to watch the interview.
The Game called up a couple of top rappers in the industry to help him with The Documentary 2. Features from Kanye West and Drake, to Dr. Dre and Kendrick, made the album a great first listen. To hear he took 600-700 songs to make this album, all I’m looking forward to are some mixtapes now.
In other news, the album is set to sell 60-70k copies (75-85k with streams) 1st week, which is good for #2 on the charts behind Selena Gomez, who is set to sell at least 75k copies. These numbers are not bad, and with disc two out next Friday, the sales are set to stay steady.
