ASAP Ferg fans should brace themselves! The Harlem MC has recently confirmed that his next body of work is ready, and it sounds like it may join the growing list of dope yet, highly-publicized albums of 2015. Ferg claims some of the industry’s most monumental hit-makers have heard his album and can’t get enough of it! Watch what he had to say about his new album after the jump!
ASAP Ferg has confirmed that his sophomore album will be released by the end of the year. Revolt caught up with Ferg during his time at Pitchfork 2015 in Chicago and spoke with him about the follow-up to his debut LP Trap Lord. Ferg claims that the album is complete and he’s already played it for his inner circle of superstars in music like Pharrell and Missy Elliott.
“I was in the studio with Pharrell, I was in the studio with Madonna, and they said, ‘ahh, this is crazy,” Ferg said. “These are people I look up to, so if they said that they like it then it means a lot.”
Ferg also shared brief details about the direction of the album. He also claims he has a lot of big features, which isn’t surprising since his 2013 debut LP featured legendary MC’s like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, B-Real, and Onyx.
“I got a lot of collaborations on there, I got a lot of my own songs on there, so far everybody that I played it for said it was “crazy.”
