While hip-hop moguls like 50 Cent, Diddy, and Jeezy are pushing their own liquor brands, Chance The Rapper decided to serve up something different. The young emcee wants to bring a new flavor of beer to the citizens of Chicago and plans to release it in a major way. Find out the details about his new lager after the jump!
Chance The Rapper teamed up with the Goose Island Beer Company for his new beer called “No Collar.” According to the company’s website, the 5.3 percent, Helles-style lager “has a mild and approachable malt character, giving the beer a slightly bready, fruit character.”
Chance’s beer will make its grand debut at the Pitchfork Music Festival next weekend. The Goose Island Beer Company has a history of collaborating with talented rappers. Their new collaboration comes two years after they released a Run The Jewels-inspired Wheat Ale with Killer Mike & El-P.
After the festival, the golden yellow lager will be available on draft in bars all over Chicago. The collaborative effort from Chance and brewmaster Jared Jankowski is an attempt to make a beer “for the hardworking people of Chicago…exactly what you want to drink after a long day of work.” Will you be sipping on Chance’s new lager?
