Today, President Obama delivered the eulogy at Senator Clementa Pickney’s funeral and it will most likely go down as one of his most powerful speeches while in office. To close his speech, the President lead the congregation by singing ‘Amazing Grace!’

The President’s message in his eulogy was simply that as a nation, we need to stand together. After the murder of the #Charleston9, a door was opened on various issues that we as a nation face. Obvious issues like the racial divide that exists in our country were addressed, however, the President also touched on a recent issue that a gained a lot of attention. The Confederate Flag.

The President did not hold back when addressing the crowd at the funeral, and more so the entire country, and the entire crowd was definitely responsive to that. Toward the end of his speech, though, the President surprisingly started singing a song and actually sounded pretty decent while doing so!

Along with a powerful message that the President delivered, the fact that he capped off that speech by singing ‘Amazing Grace’ it is definitely undeniable that this will go down as one of the president’s most meaningful speeches while in office. It will definitely be interesting to watch the various opinions on how President Obama addressed Senator Pickney’s life, family, and issues we face in the country.
