With Kevin Love planning to Opt-out his current deal and become a free-agent, the possibilities loom on where Love will land. No matter wether Love leaves or not, it’s being reported that Lebron James doesn’t care what the big man does. Word is that the Blazers may be interested.
According to Espn’s Mark Stien, The Blazers plan to pursue Kevin Love if they lose out on their very own superstar free agent, Larmarcus Aldridge. Aldridge is also a free agent and hasn’t committed to returning to Portland throughout the regular season.
While both big-men are generally viewed as average to poor defenders, they both have a propensity to score the basketball, so it would be hard to say wether the Blazers would be getting an upgrade in acquiring Love.
There’s also word that Lebron does not plan to recruit Kevin Love and doesn’t care wether he stays or leaves. The rift between Kevin Love and Lebron James was well reported throughout the season after Love did not take criticism from James very well. Love also didn’t seem to be comfortable with solely being a three-point option.
