At least this guy is big into marketing already! Tonight, Adrien Broner is set to fight Shawn Porter and just a few days ago, he dropped a freestyle over Meek’s “Monster!”
After watching greats like Floyd Mayweather, its obvious that in order to get to the big bucks, you have to have some type of scheme behind you. For instance, we saw Floyd introduce us to “Pretty Boy Floyd” which was a play on his defensive fighting style and never getting hit–maintaining his “pretty.” Now, its all about “Money May” and this is the guy who is flashy and throws cash around like its nothing.
Its all a marketing plan to continue to bring viewership to fights. It looks like Adrien is taking notes and coming up with some marketing plans of his own. We already see Broner as a very confident fighter who definitely doesn’t care what the next person thinks about him–even in defeat if you recall. However, now we can move forward to Adrien “The Rapper.”
Monster Freestyle…
His freestyle is a play on the already confident boxer we know Adrien to be. And what better way to promote your fight than freestyling over one of Meek’s biggest tracks this year? I do, however, hope that he doesn’t rap on his way to the ring. Maybe Meek will walk out with him and rap the original Monster?
