A North Carolina man decided to tattoo Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover photo on his arm. The man who’s name is Jason Hatfield, got Jenner’s cover photo image tattooed on his left forearm to show his lifelong and loyal support of her public transition.
Hatfield, who is gay, said this to NBC News affiliate WXII in North Carolina, “Caitlyn Jenner’s been so brave…As an athlete and everything that was done before she came out, she was incredible. And now she’s a thousand times the role model a Kardashian is!” He goes on to say that the tattoo which took four hours to complete is his “tribute not only to the transsexual community and the LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] community and my personal friends, but also their bravery as well.”
Caitlyn told Vanity Fair Magazine that the photoshoot was one of the best days of his life. He says, “The pictures came out over-the-top great, you know, and I think people’s reaction when they see it…I was always worried—you never wanted to look like a guy in drag. You never wanted to look like a guy in a dress, OK? If you’re going to do that, come out, you really have to look the part. You have to look very feminine, you have to be able to, what I call my presentation is extremely important because it puts people at ease. And if you can do that, OK, people are at ease, they’re just comfortable being around you.”
