Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers was just as intense as game 1 and yet again went into overtime. This time Warriors saw their star player struggle as Stephen Curry had the worst shooting night many of us have ever seen from him. In fact, he was so bad, for once he set a BAD three-point shooting record instead of the many good ones he’s been breaking.
Stephen Curry finished with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists in 42 minutes. He was 5-of-23 from the field; he not only misfired on 18 of his 23 shots, not only had more turnovers (six) than he did assists (five), he also took 15 three-point attempts and only hit two setting an NBA Finals record for missed threes.
“Shots I normally make, I knew as soon as they left my hand that they were off,” said Curry. “That doesn’t usually happen. I mean, mechanically, I don’t know if there is an explanation for it. Just didn’t have a rhythm and didn’t find one the whole game.”
“(Dellavedova did) nothing really, just besides playing their game plan and playing defense like every pro is supposed to,” he said. “But I doubt this will happen again, with the adjustments I’ll make once I look at the film. And like I said, one game is not going to make me stop shooting or alter my confidence at all.”
