Steve Francis was one of the more efficient ball handlers that we have seen during his days in the NBA. His athletic skills didn’t quite translate from the basketball court to the baseball field however.
Francis was in Baltimore for the Orioles taking on the Houston Astros Tuesday night, and with his connection to the areas that both teams are from, it made sense to throw him out there for the ceremonial first pitch. Francis was a star for the Maryland Terrapins in his collegiate days and he spent a good amount of time as the face of the Houston Rockets franchise. As we all know when it comes to first pitches, you only get one chance, and Francis didn’t quite hit the mark. But hey, we’ve seen worse… *cough 50 cent cough*
