Imagine being up in a series of 7, 3-1, only to have the opposing team win 4 straight. Seems pretty unbelievable, right? Well, Doc Rivers has been there before and he looks to not have that same fate repeated. Click more to read the full story!

A week ago today, the Los Angeles Clippers lead the Houston Rockets in the series 3 games to 1 but since then, Houston has been on a run and they have forced the series to go to its 7th and final game. It would be pretty embarrassing to give up such a dominant lead in the series and that is why it is so important for Doc to get the win.

This is not unfamiliar territory for Rivers though. In previous playoff years, Doc and his 2003 Orlando Magic squad lost a playoff series after being up 3-1 against the Detroit Pistons. In the final 3 games of the series, Rivers and squad lost by a margin of at least 15 points. So what does that mean for his current Los Angeles Clippers?

If Doc Rivers were to lose this series against the Houston Rockets, he would be the first coach in NBA history to lose a series after being up 3 games to 1. Not a spot in the record books that I would want to be associated with myself, so I know Doc is doing everything in his power to ensure a win.

Chris Paul also has his playoff/career legacy on the line as well as he has never made it out of the second round of the playoffs. I expect CP3 to take over this game early with efforts to push his team to the next round.
