“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is still months away, but fans will be able to get a taste (literally) of the galaxy far, far away even sooner. A ‘Star Wars‘ Lounge Experience, called the Rebel Hangar, it will be located at Disney World in Orlando. Pics and details of the Sci-Fi food are after the jump.
The Rebel Hangar will be opening during the theme park’s five “Star Wars” Weekends in May and June. Which will feature such attractions as “Classic Character Interactions” and a “Jedi Training Academy” for ages 4-12.
According to StarWars.com, Rebel Hangar will resemble an “abandoned starship hangar — located in a galaxy far, far away.” The restaurant will serve “Star Wars“-themed dishes and drinks including:
Lightsaber Bites: Corn dogs with chips and mustard dipping sauce.
Trio of Thermal Detonators: Three pork wings topped with spicy piquillo-pepper sauce.
Yoda Key Lime Cake: Key Lime cake shaped like Yoda’s head.
Imperial Blue: Maker’s Mark Whiskey, Cointreau, Blue Curacao, sweet and sour, topped with Sprite.
The Dark Side: Stoli vanilla vodka, Bailey’s liqueur, crème de cocoa and brownie garnish.
…and plenty more.
Disney has kept the “Episode VII” hype train at full speed, releasing trailers, sneakers, headphones, teasing photos and even announcing the official “The Force Awakens” toy line, scheduled for September.
