The Grammy Award winning artist Sam Smith has been battling vocal cord issues for quite some time now. The singer has had to cancel several of this tour dates because of a hemorrhage on his vocal cords and doctors orders to rest his voice. But it seems like the rest was not enough because Smith will be going into surgery next week. Smith took to Instagram to inform the fans.
He posted,
Dear All, I am very upset to announce that I have been battling to get my vocal cords better the past 10 days but unfortunately they haven’t recovered and I am going to need surgery. I’m so gutted to be missing all the shows and events I was meant to be playing at. The doctors say I will be back in 6-8 weeks and I cannot wait to sing to you all soon.
