As the playoffs continue to move forward in the Western Conference, the Memphis Grizzlies get ready to take on the NBA’s best regular season team, the Golden State Warriors. The Grizzlies are a force in the West but how far can they go without their floor general? Click more to read the full story!
In the third quarter of Game 3 against the Portland Trailblazers, Mike Conley took a shot to the face which fractured the left side of his face in multiple places. Conley had to under go surgery to repair the fractures and ended up missing Games 4 and 5 against the Blazers.
The Play That Took Conley Out…
Easily the Grizzlies best three point shooter, Conley being out for Game 1 of this series against the Warriors is not too much of a big deal but going deeper into this round, it could definitely be an issue. With the splash brothers, Klay and Stephen, known to put up threes from anywhere on the court, the Grizzlies will definitely that counter production on the offensive side of the ball.
As many point out, when getting a marquee match up like Memphis v.s. Golden State, you would definitely want to watch the teams go to war with their full artilleries on deck. I still expect this series to go the long haul 7 games at which point, hopefully Conley would have returned to the line up.
