After the Houston Rockets prowess 3-point shooting sent the Dallas Mavericks home, their twitter account decided to take a shot of their own. The Houston Rockets Twitter account tweeted a Horse and Gun emoji, referencing to the Rockets putting down the depleted Mavericks. Well the tweet appears to have cost the Rockets social media manager his job. Check out the Rockets and Mavericks response to the tweet!
The Rockets and Mavericks share a rivalry because they both reside in the state of Texas, even leading to them throwing barbs at each other after the Mavericks signed away former Houston Rockets forward, Chandler Parsons.
So Im sure this series meant a little bit more than a normal first round matchup usually mens between teams. But did the Rockets twitter account take it a bit too far?
The fans seem to disagree, as they have started a petition to get their entertaining social media manager and have gained over 500 signatures in an effort to get him back.
