The Boston Celtics put up a good fight but the talent, strength and abilities of the Cleveland Cavaliers proved to be too much for the young team; they were swept in the first round. Hats off to the Boston Celtics, who finished their season with the second best record since January only behind the Cavs.
After nearly clearing their entire roster, the Celtics were all about done but the receiving Isaiah Thomas in a trade with Phoenix made this team relevant.Kyrie Irving and Lebron James combined for 51 points and 21 rebounds to secure a spot in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals where they will (more than likely) face Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls.
Unfortunately, Kevin Love left the game after the first quarter due to a shoulder injury. He didn’t return to the game.There is no timetable for his return as of yet. J.R. Smith was ejected from the game for a flagrant foul against Crowder. Kendrick Perkins was also ejected for a scuffle with Crowder.
It’s in the Cavs best interest to save their energy for the Bulls series. That matchup is sure to be a good one.
