Almost everybody loves Jordans; people camp out for them and spend tons of money on the reissues and different color ways. When Magic Johnson ended his relationship with Converse in 1992, he also became a big fan of Jordans. In fact, he still wears them today and asks his old rival and friend the one and only Michael Jordan for free sneakers.
“Michael’s still number one…Michael is still the best, his brand is still the best,” Johnson told The Post Game.
According to Magic, he can hit MJ up whenever he wants and ask for a new shipment of Jordan sneakers and gear. “I call him up all the time and say ‘send my package of Air Jordans. And what he doesn’t send, I go out and buy,” Magic continued.
“After all these years, he’s still number one. He beats all these guys by far, you can put all their sales together and they still won’t come close to Michael’s,” said Johnson.
Ironically rich celebrities are the people who get the most free stuff. Between their connections and endorsements they’re given plenty of goodies. Hey if I knew all the right people, I would do the same thing, who wouldn’t want free Jordans if they knew Michael!
