That is the discussion Wale and Jerry Seinfeld have as an opener to “The Matrimony,” which will be featured on The Album About Nothing. No one is really READY the comedian says. Comparing marriage to a roller coaster ride, the comedian make his argument a convincing one. “When you were kids, your parents seemed like they were ready to do this, but when you have kids, you realize they weren’t and I’m not either and no one is,” he says. “It’s not enough time. Ideally, if you could live to be 200, about 130 you’d be, ‘OK, I think I know enough now to do this,'” I think he might be right.
