Kobe Bryant will undergo season-ending surgery on Wednesday for a torn rotator cuff. That means the Los Angeles Lakers have to find another way to provide offense. Enter Nick “Swaggy P” Young.
via LA Daily News writer Mark Medina:
Nick Young on what the Lakers must do without Kobe: “Pretty much just give me the ball and get out of the way.”
While this will certainly provide entertainment, it won’t provide much else. Unfortunately Nick Young’s game isn’t as good as his confidence. Young is shooting 39 percent from three and 35.8 percent inside the arc while averaging 14.1 points, 1 assist and 2.3 rebounds for the season. By the way, Young assisted Kobe Bryant a grand total of ZERO times during the 287 minutes they played together this season.
The Lakers currently have a 12-33 record with the 14th spot in the Western Conference. Let the tank commence.
