It all began when the California rapper said, “If we get y’all to vote yes on Proposition 2, Snoop Dogg is coming to Alaska to do a concert, a wellness retreat concert, and I’m bringing some of that California with me to celebrate,” during an episode of his Double G News webcast.
Snoop’s Alaskan fans went out to vote on marijuana legalization, during this past Tuesday’s midterm elections. Guess what? It happened. The bill was passed, and now, everyone is remembering Snoop’s September words. “Soooooo…bout that @SnoopDogg concert in alaska,” a fan tweeted, and “@SnoopDogg Will you be playing a show in #Fairbanks on your upcoming Alaska tour? #AKpot #promises,” another tweeted. These people are ready. I hope Snoop ain’t out here breaking weed smoker’s hearts.

If he does plan to give a blow out – no pun – concert, Snoop still has 90 days to respond, because that’s when everything will take effect.
The initiative allows adults 21 years of age and older to possess up to one ounce of marijuana and grow limited amounts in private.
Marijuana will also be cultivated, tested, and sold by licensed, taxpaying businesses that require proof of age – instead of criminal enterprises in the underground market.
