Famous Indian singer K.J. Yesudas, 74, says when women wear jeans it provokes “undesirable” behavior. He states, “Don’t do it to attract and make others do the undesirable.” Read more on the story after the jump!
KJ Yesudas, says this to women who wear jeans, “you should dress modestly and do not behave like men. People would be tempted to pay attention to what’s beyond it…” He goes on to say that wearing jeans goes against Indian culture. He commented on women wearing jeans soon after many sexual assaults and high-profile rapes in India gained global attention.
Many said that it’s not the women’s clothing that was the problem but the men. One person commented on the issue by stating, “Why should women watch what they wear? Men should learn to behave!”
