NFL media wanted it, and NFL media got it. Two of the biggest stories coming out of the NFL rookie class faced off against each other on Saturday night. The St. Louis Rams took on the Cleveland Browns, pitting Michael Sam against Johnny Manziel and everyone was hoping for a sack. Not only did they get it (twice), but Sam took it a bit further and hit Johnny with his own celebration.
After Sam dropped Manziel on the play, he jumped to his feet and began celebrating by using Manziel’s “show me the money” celebration, raising both hands to the air and rubbing his fingers together.
Manziel had previously used the gesture himself earlier in the half after scoring on a 7-yard scramble for a touchdown.
Manziel was officially announced as the backup quarterback for the Browns and Sam is still fighting for a roster spot on the Rams.
