Kendrick Lamar has an instant classic, “good kid, m.A.A.d city”, which is widely agreed upon as one of the best hip hop albums of the last 5 years. Don’t worry, he is currently working on his follow up album. But before that is released, Kendrick will be dropping a short film based on that classic album.
More after the jump…
“m.A.A.d”, is going to be that bridge between the 1st and 2nd album. It’s set to be premiered on August 9th during the inaugural Sundance NEXT fest. Kendrick’s 14 minute film was directed by Kahlil Joseph, who is a previous Sundance award winner. According to Fadar, the short film will be seen as “A kaleidoscope of story lines and ideas that defy typical categorization to explore new languages and new forms.”
Sounds pretty dope! Would you see Kendrick’s short film?
