Earlier today it was announced that Udonis Haslem opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat. Now Dwyane Wade has joined him and LeBron James who have all become free agents.
The reported master plan is to have everyone opt-out and re-sign longer contracts with a smaller immediate payout. The pay cuts would help Heat president Pat Riley revamp the team and add vital pieces they need to make another championship run.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, Chris Bosh plans to opt-out as well which will give the Heat a whopping $55 million in cap space
