The head coach carousel continues as reports state that Vinny Del Negro will be interviewed by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the head coach position after they fired Mike Brown… again.
According to Sam Amick of USA Today Sports:
Cavs scheduling coaching interviews soon. In addition to Alvin Gentry, Adrian Griffin, others, V. Del Negro also still expected to interview.
Del Negro has proven successful with a winning percentage of.533, his teams have never been below .500, and he won 56 games of the last season he coached. Del Negro however has never been able to get his teams (Bulls, Clippers) over the hump and his players often complain about him.
Del Negro is considered a long shot behind Alvin Gentry (who worked with Cavs GM David Griffin in Phoenix) and popular assistant Adrian Griffin.
