Welp I’m sure we were all waiting for the other shoe to drop regarding VH1’s TLC biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC story, made for TV film. By the looks of Friday’s court filing it appears that former manager Perri ‘Pebbles” Reid was not to happy about the depiction of herself in the film, and she’s taking Viacom to the cleaners for it! Find out the astronomical figure she’s suing Viacom for and why inside.
According to reports, Pebbles is suing the Viacom corporation for a whopping $40 M for her villainous portrayal in the TLC movie. According to court documents, Reid says in the suit that Viacom “ignored fundamental canons of journalistic and literary conduct by publishing false and defamatory accusations with actual malice.” In a petition filed in court on Friday, Pebbles said contrary to what was depicted on TV, she never controlled TLC’s lawyers, accountants, and and never withheld contracts from the trio.
Hmmm… Well it looks like Pebbles may have a leg to stand on. Watch a clip of Pebbles discussing her side of the story on The Wendy Williams Show late last year.
What do you think? Is there any validity to what Pebbles is saying?
